WHO MAY AUDITION? - Students that live in the East China School District or attend East China Schools using schools of choice
- Students that attend SCHS or will be attending SCHS in the future will be given preference
- Students currently enrolled in Grade 4 or higher will be eligible to audition
- PLEASE understand we will most likely NOT be able to offer all that audition a role in the show
THE ROLE OF MATILDA - We will audition and consider females ages 10 to 18 for the character of Matilda
- Physically it is important for the telling of the story that Matilda be of small stature
- We will most likely cast 2 or 3 different Matildas and share the role; this is so one young female does not have to carry all 6 performances - which we feel would feel is irresponsible if it is a young girl of 10-13 years of age
